Business Process Architect - EHS (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Hybrid role based at one of the U.S. sites in Houston, TX; Walkersville, MD; or Portsmouth, NH. Travel of up to 20% domestically and internationally is required.

Global life sciences manufacturing organization with more than 30 sites across five continents, focused on producing medicines and supporting regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology programs.

What you will do

• Support global deployment of SAP S/4HANA EHS and Product Compliance solutions across multiple implementation waves.
• Own business process expertise for Incident Management, Action and Task Management, Inspection and Audit Management, Risk Assessment, and Global Label Management.
• Align business requirements with SAP S/4HANA capabilities across EHS, Product Compliance, IT, and program stakeholders.
• Evaluate local processes, identify gaps, and lead harmonization with global templates and best practices.
• Develop training, documentation, and change management materials and support testing, validation, defect resolution, and go-live readiness.
• Provide regulatory guidance and support long-term governance and continuous improvement after implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of EHS and/or Product Compliance experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience implementing and optimizing EHS processes in SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with full-lifecycle SAP implementations, from design and configuration through deployment and post-go-live support.
• Experience with Global Label Management is required; strong knowledge of EHS and Product Compliance processes is expected.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from Houston, Walkersville, or Portsmouth and travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with Environment Management and Sustainability Control Tower.
• Professional EHS certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
