Director, Data & Integrations - EDI (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Oversee and prioritize the EDI development team while remaining hands-on with complex development, mapping, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Own client timelines, coordinate requirements and technical issues, and participate in client and trading-partner calls.
• Facilitate CDM design sessions and lead architecture decisions for legacy CDMs, extracts, and new EDI capabilities.
• Govern Jira intake, documentation, access, backlog readiness, and automated reporting for Jira Assets.
• Coordinate Mirth Connect renewal, upgrade planning, and cross-team implementation activities.
• Mentor and cross-train team members, represent EDI in Agile Scrum activities, and maintain coding and delivery standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in data integrations, 3–4 years in healthcare, and 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect and 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• 5+ years of experience with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale, high-volume, high-availability systems and major critical projects.
• Knowledge of software development life-cycle practices, Agile methodologies, troubleshooting, data privacy, HIPAA, and team mentoring.

Nice to have

• ANSI ASC X12 healthcare formats, including 837P, 837I, 835, and 834, plus HL7 v2 messaging.
• PowerShell or Bash/Linux scripting, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Azure, Java, and Maven.
• Test-driven development, automated unit testing, Agile epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Microsoft SQL Server or Mirth certification.
