TL;DR
Data Engineer (Snowflake/BI): Building and supporting data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, business intelligence systems, and software applications with an accent on Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI. Focus on dimensional data modeling, translating business requirements into reporting solutions, validating software, and maintaining data-driven applications.
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio; office-based with occasional work from home available for eligible positions after training

What you will do
- Develop and support data warehousing, business intelligence, and database solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines using dbt, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS.
- Design, enhance, and support business intelligence systems primarily with Microsoft Power BI.
- Collect, analyze, and document user requirements while collaborating with project stakeholders.
- Follow the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Participate in software validation and provide end-user application setup, installation, and maintenance support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Experience with dimensional data modeling and understanding of Star Schema and Snowflake schema designs.
- Solid ETL development and reporting knowledge based on business processes and measures.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, SQL Server, T-SQL, REST APIs, and software validation practices.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Fivetran data integration and dbt transformations.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of C# and Azure development.
