Senior Director and Lead Counsel, Privacy, AI & Cybersecurity

Location: Remote in the United States, aligned with New York

Base salary: $235,000–$364,900 annually, plus potential annual bonus or commission, benefits, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Lead global privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance and compliance as the company’s primary legal advisor in these areas.
• Advise on evolving international regulations, including digital operational resilience and Brazilian privacy requirements.
• Develop cross-functional policies and initiatives that align security frameworks with legal and regulatory obligations.
• Support negotiations of client contracts covering cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI terms.
• Create and update contract language, playbooks, and fallback positions.
• Lead and develop a team of legal professionals while coordinating dotted-line resources.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• At least 7 years leading a legal privacy, AI, or cybersecurity function at a major SaaS company.
• 15+ years of experience drafting and negotiating privacy, cybersecurity, and AI provisions in complex technology agreements.
• Significant experience with cloud technologies and complex software license and service contracts.
• Experience advising finance, compliance, product, and other internal stakeholders on strategic business matters.
• Seasoned in-house advisory experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and AI.
