Client Office Phlebotomist – Part-time Days DD

Location: Client site in Marshall, Michigan, United States; on-site work required. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Salary: $19.45–$25.29 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform phlebotomy and other laboratory specimen collections for infants, adults, geriatric patients, and wheelchair users.
• Provide post-phlebotomy care, identify medical assistance needs, and follow patient-safety procedures.
• Label, process, transfer, and document specimens according to established protocols.
• Request physician orders, enter laboratory tests into computer systems, and follow up on outstanding orders, draws, charges, and results.
• Monitor refrigerator temperatures, quality-control records, equipment, and corrective actions.
• Perform related clerical duties, communicate with laboratory and physician staff, and support efficient team operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nationally recognized phlebotomy certification or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution, plus one or more years of healthcare phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to work the specified daytime schedule at the Marshall client site.
• Ability to collect specimens from a broad range of patient types and maintain accurate patient identification and specimen records.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain a safe patient-care environment.
• Background check required for newly hired team members.

Nice to have

• Experience processing and transferring laboratory specimens and handling a centrifuge.
• Familiarity with medical EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Experience performing phlebotomy across a broad range of patient types.
• Bilingual skills.
