Pharmacist (Veterinary Pharmacy)

What you will do

• Interpret and verify veterinary medication orders for accuracy.
• Review dosing, scheduling, contraindications, allergies, drug interactions, and incompatibilities.
• Communicate with veterinarians, veterinary staff, and pet parents by phone and other channels.
• Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Maintain prescription records, complete medication count audits, and follow legal and pharmacy requirements.
• Process prescriptions using multiple computer systems and uphold safety, compliance, and performance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with RPh qualification or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active pharmacist license in Florida in good standing, with additional state licenses and credentials as required.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and work for prolonged periods while sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking.
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
