Operations Manager, Pharmacy (Medtech)

Location: On-site in New Albany, Ohio; Gilbert, Arizona; or Los Alamitos, California. The pharmacy operates 24/7, and the role requires flexibility to work any shift.

Compensation: $1 estimate for US-based candidates; the final range depends on location, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.

What you will do

• Lead pharmacist and technician workflows in the mail-order dispensing and fulfillment pharmacy.
• Manage hiring, scheduling, daily huddles, workflow oversight, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, state pharmacy regulations, licensing, training, cleanroom, sanitation, and drug-handling standards.
• Analyze performance and safety data to improve efficiency and reduce dispensing errors.
• Coordinate process rollouts and collaborate with operations leaders on SOP development and improvement.
• Perform pharmacist or technician duties, including order verification, DURs, dispensing, and counseling, when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate preferred.
• 5–7 years of pharmacy supervisory experience managing licensed and registered pharmacy technicians.
• Active pharmacist license in the pharmacy’s home state, or willingness to obtain it upon hire, and willingness to become licensed in multiple states.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English and Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift more than 30 pounds safely, work flexible shifts, and support a 24/7 pharmacy operation.

Nice to have

• Mail service or mail-order pharmacy experience.
• Experience with fulfillment or compounding pharmacy operations.
