Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Ontario, Canada; remote-first work

Salary: CAD 129,000–164,500 per year, with potential additional stock options, bonuses, and merit increases.

What you will do

• Define requirements and drive product development from conception through launch with Product Managers and Designers.
• Lead project planning, scoping, prioritization, implementation, delivery, and production support.
• Build clean, maintainable, efficient, and scalable production code for core services.
• Develop agentic capabilities for the hiring pipeline and collaborate with engineering teams on new features.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
• Lead meetings, conduct code reviews, and improve quality through testing and debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience contributing production code.
• Experience leading or owning projects through completion.
• Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python; Ruby is preferred.
• Direct experience with AI and agentic software development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React, plus full-stack development experience.
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience with Rails.
• Deep experience with integrations.
