Clinical Practice Specialist (Generalist) RN (Healthcare)

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States; onsite, day shift

Salary: $40.50–$64.80 per hour

What you will do

• Lead clinical education, orientation, annual competencies, skills assessments, and just-in-time bedside teaching.
• Monitor quality and safety data, identify practice gaps, and develop improvement action plans with clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff while supporting specialty certification, competency development, and peer review.
• Lead evidence-based practice initiatives, clinical research projects, practice guidelines, and order-set implementation.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary teams, committees, and shared-leadership activities focused on improving patient care.
• Advise nursing and hospital leadership on clinical systems, policies, professional practice, efficiency, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s in Nursing, or commitment to obtain the master’s degree within four years of assuming the role.
• Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois.
• Certification in a related clinical area, or commitment to obtain certification when eligible.
• 3–5 years of experience in the specific clinical area.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Women’s and Children’s experience is not mandatory; the role supports those areas at CDH.
