Software Engineering Manager (Retail)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States — onsite at 3200 Hackberry Road.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor multiple Scrum teams, including offshore engineering resources.
• Design, develop, test, and deliver extensible retail products and reusable services.
• Provide technical direction through architecture decisions, code reviews, proof-of-concepts, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define backlogs, roadmaps, and feasible technical solutions.
• Improve software development practices and support digital transformation through research into new technologies.
• Respond to production issues and drive timely resolution of complex application problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of management experience.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application design, enterprise architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Java, React, NoSQL, DynamoDB, REST APIs, Spring, JavaScript, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong AWS experience, including containerization, EC2, Fargate, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda, Auto Scaling, S3, and Kinesis.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SAFe practices, scalable transaction systems, technical mentoring, and production support.
