Quality Engineering Manager (QA Automation)

Location: Hybrid, Irving, Texas; additional location in Dallas, Texas

What you will do

• Lead the quality engineering team and establish testing processes across Agile product squads and programs.
• Define test strategies, frameworks, coverage standards, release criteria, KPIs, and reporting for frequent product releases.
• Manage test planning, design, execution, requirements traceability, coverage analysis, and business acceptance across delivery teams.
• Build, coach, and mentor QA and SDET teams, including hiring and technical leadership.
• Develop test environment architecture, provisioning, data refresh, and automation strategies.
• Partner with development and end-to-end system teams to maintain CI/CD and improve customer-facing quality through production feedback and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years leading a test engineering function.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering processes, automation tools, requirements analysis, and functional test planning.
• 8+ years of functional and automation testing experience, including end-to-end software delivery for direct-to-consumer ecommerce.
• 7+ years with Agile development, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, automated quality gates, and validation.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, NoSQL, Spring, Java/J2EE, microservices, JavaScript, environment provisioning, and test data management.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketing, communication, email and campaign management, customer care, master data, enterprise data platforms, business intelligence, ETL/ESB, and modern data analytics.
• Experience with Oracle Retail, Oracle E-Business Suite, human resources, supply chain, WMS, or point-of-sale systems.
