TL;DR
Quantity Surveyor (Infrastructure): Managing the commercial delivery of transmission and distribution projects, including underground cable and overhead line works, with an accent on NEC contract administration, cost control, forecasting, and project risk management. Focus on administering subcontractors, managing compensation events and variations, producing monthly cost reports, and supporting project delivery through accurate commercial reporting.
Location: Warrington - Clearwater 4, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with regular site visits and travel as required.

What you will do
- Manage day-to-day commercial responsibilities for transmission and distribution projects involving underground cables or overhead lines.
- Administer NEC 3/4 contracts, including Options A, B, C and E, as well as bespoke client contracts.
- Manage subcontractor awards, administration, applications for payment, forecasting and performance tracking.
- Identify and manage early warnings, compensation events and variations in accordance with contract requirements.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cost value reconciliations, end-life forecasts, accruals, cashflow analysis and cost control reporting.
- Support the Project Manager and Regional Commercial Manager with project and commercial deliverables.
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying, business or a related commercial field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in cost systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical, analytical, organizational and communication skills, with the ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate safety, integrity and ethics.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
Nice to have
- Experience in similar infrastructure industries.
- Experience with NEC forms of contract.
