Focus on mixing and applying multi-coat finishes, working in tight aircraft spaces and variable weather conditions, and maintaining safety compliance around chemicals, fumes, and protective equipment.

What you will do
- Prepare aircraft surfaces by masking, sanding, scuffing, cleaning, and priming as required.
- Mix paint and apply three topcoats, trim colors, and aircraft stripe schemes.
- Re-mask, detail, and inspect completed paint and stripping work.
- Perform work according to applicable FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance manuals, and structural repair manuals.
- Work with aircraft equipment in outdoor and hangar environments, including around noise, dust, chemicals, and paint fumes.
- Perform other paint-related duties assigned by the Lead or Manager/Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
- 1–3 years of current corporate jet, commercial aircraft, aerospace, or equivalent experience in stripping, sanding, priming, and painting.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to read detailed drawings and renderings, follow safety procedures, work independently, and maintain a rapid, quality-focused pace.
- Clear English reading, comprehension, and speaking ability required.
- Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and all weather conditions; pass pulmonary and respiratory fit tests and FAA-required drug and alcohol testing.
Nice to have
- Forklift certification.
- Scissor lift certification.
- Experience with aviation maintenance software such as Corridor.
- US Passport.
