Controller (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation, foreign currency accounting, intercompany transactions, and revenue recognition across US, Canadian, and UK entities.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, establish controls, and coordinate tax compliance and audit preparation.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash planning, financial modeling, variance analysis, and deployment economics.
• Improve accounting and planning systems, including ERP selection or implementation, and use automation and AI tools to reduce manual work.
• Support debt and equipment financing evaluations, fundraising, and financial diligence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including ownership of financial close and reporting at a growing company.
• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification with strong US GAAP knowledge, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience working independently as the primary accounting owner and building finance processes.
• Experience with budgets, cash forecasts, financial models, variance analysis, and translating operating assumptions into recommendations.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and cross-border operations, including US financial reporting and external tax advisers.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills, sound judgment, and clear communication.

Nice to have

• Experience at a VC-backed company in robotics, hardware, industrial automation, or logistics.
• Experience with inventory, hardware, or robotics-as-a-service models.
• Experience implementing an ERP and using modern finance tools.
• Experience supporting equity fundraising, debt facilities, equipment financing, or financial due diligence.
