Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Java)

What you will do

• Identify operational challenges and translate them into technical roadmaps that improve organizational efficiency.
• Design and maintain high-performance web applications and microservices using Python, FastAPI, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Architect internal services and integrations using REST best practices for scalability and maintainability.
• Communicate technical solutions and their business value to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Research tools and methodologies to automate manual processes and resolve recurring business pain points.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including discovery, schema design, deployment, and Unix-based operational support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and/or Java.
• Deep knowledge of modern asynchronous frameworks, preferably FastAPI.
• Experience building integrated web applications with REST APIs, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of MVC architecture, REST best practices, and modern SQL with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, Docker, Git, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Fintech industry experience.
• Familiarity with treasury management or compliance systems, including KYC/AML.
• Experience building and scaling internal business automation tools.
• Interest in current Python and DevOps ecosystem developments.
