What you will do

• Build and expand data pipelines and event-streaming functionality for Cboe Europe’s equities exchange.
• Develop the trade reporting facility and other trading platforms.
• Design and implement highly reliable, highly testable Python systems supporting trading operations.
• Analyze requirements and implement features in complex projects alongside business development, sales, and engineering teams.
• Research and introduce promising technologies while debugging complex engineering and operational issues.
• Provide production support through an incident-response rota and contribute to post-mortem actions.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Python, algorithms, and data structures.
• Commitment to writing testable and maintainable code.
• Knowledge of SQL, including the ability to compose complex queries.
• Basic Linux knowledge.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Collaboration with developers and stakeholders across Europe and the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with TDD, BDD, or other testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, or Java.
