Desktop Support Engineer II

Location: Onsite five days a week at the West Los Angeles, California office

Salary: $30.00–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide frontline helpdesk and secondary chat support for employees, including remote users.
• Install, configure, reload, and troubleshoot operating systems and software such as antivirus, firewall, and anti-spyware tools.
• Configure, repair, and maintain computers, related hardware, printers, and mobile devices.
• Support user setup, removals, moves, and changes in Active Directory and network administration.
• Provide telephone setup, training, troubleshooting, and vendor service coordination.
• Maintain physical-layer wiring connectivity and coordinate hardware repairs with vendors.

Requirements

• Associate degree from a technical trade school and 2–5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and demonstrate tact, enthusiasm, and patience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to work sensitively with cultural and bilingual issues.

Nice to have

• A+ certification.
• Experience with Oracle systems.
