Building Technology Specialist (Security Systems)

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida, United States; 5 days a week in-office

What you will do

• Plan, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot building-facing technology across property and tenant operations.
• Administer access control, badging, door hardware integration, CCTV/IP cameras, video management, intercoms, turnstiles, and security radio systems.
• Support fire and life safety systems, building automation and management systems, HVAC and environmental controls, elevators, and related integrations.
• Support routers, switches, UPSs, voice/data cabling, and network connectivity for building and security systems.
• Coordinate with Property Management, Engineering, Security, IT, vendors, and base-building and tenant stakeholders.
• Provide executive-level support, manage incidents and asset inventory, and deliver on-site coverage during business hours with on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• Experience managing building and security systems for a Class A retail, office, or mixed-use property.
• Strong knowledge of building IT, security, telecommunications, networking, and network security systems.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV/IP cameras, video management, intercoms, turnstiles, BMS/BAS, environmental controls, and elevator interfaces.
• Strong organization, communication, decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work on-site in West Palm Beach 5 days per week and provide on-call support as needed.

Nice to have

• Manufacturer certification for Lenel, Genetec, Software House, S2, or Avigilon platforms.
• Network+ or CCNA certification.
