Network Security Engineer (Physical Security)

Location: On-site in Alpharetta, Georgia, 5 days per week; department location listed as Duluth, Georgia. Occasional travel and participation in an on-call rotation are required. Core hours are 8am–5pm while supporting global operations across multiple time zones.

What you will do

• Administer and support global physical security operations, including access control platforms, camera systems, monitoring solutions, and wired access panels.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot Verkada, Avigilon, Openpath, and related security infrastructure.
• Monitor global security and infrastructure systems, investigate alerts and outages, and coordinate incident response and restoration.
• Provide smart-hands support for servers, network equipment, surveillance devices, access control systems, storage, and desktop hardware.
• Perform rack-and-stack work, hardware installations, replacements, upgrades, commissioning, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, asset inventories, dashboards, and security platform integrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in physical security technology, infrastructure operations, or network/security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Verkada, Avigilon, Openpath, enterprise camera systems, and access control platforms.
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based security solutions and supporting servers, storage, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, connectivity, outages, and performance issues.
• Experience with cabling, wiring, access panels, surveillance equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, remote connectivity, and the ability to travel occasionally for installations.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting global security operations centers or enterprise security programs.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and infrastructure management tools.
• Experience with firmware and software upgrades, device lifecycle planning, and security or vendor certifications.
• Knowledge of physical security best practices and operational risk management.
