Business Development Underwriter (Portfolio Solutions Financial Lines)

What you will do

• Develop new Financial Lines portfolio arrangements and optimize existing arrangements for the SME segment.
• Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and authorized agents while identifying new market opportunities.
• Generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events, and following an agreed sales plan.
• Contribute to Portfolio Solutions growth targets and provide monthly management information on submissions, bind rates, average premiums, and total premiums.
• Identify best practices, improve procedures and service offerings, and support product development within hirify.global guidelines.
• Assess new and renewal business within the assigned focus area.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines.
• Good understanding of the Dutch Financial Lines and authorized agents marketplaces.
• Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer- and sales-oriented behavior with a proactive, technically skilled, focused, tenacious, and accountable approach.
