Senior Trade Back Office Specialist (Energy Trading): Managing the full lifecycle of energy trades from contract setup through financial settlement with an accent on data quality, financial controls, compliance, and cash-flow monitoring. Focus on resolving discrepancies, improving operational workflows, and strengthening systems and controls across trading and finance.
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands; candidates must currently live in the Netherlands
Gross annual salary: €71,000–€100,000, including FlexBudget and an 8% holiday allowance.

What you will do
- Process energy trading activities accurately from contract setup through financial settlement.
- Manage trade confirmations, contracts, costs, revenues, payments, and financial administration.
- Monitor cash flows, reconcile transactions, and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain data quality, compliance, reporting standards, and operational controls.
- Improve workflows, systems, processes, and controls as automation and new products evolve.
- Collaborate with traders, finance, and internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or a related field with a strong financial component.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a corporate environment and/or energy trading.
- Affinity with large datasets and translating them into effective control processes.
- Knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks such as JSOX.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; currently living in the Netherlands.
