Internship Debt Capital Markets – IG Corporate Origination

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working with home and office work

ING is a global bank whose Debt Capital Markets team advises corporate and institutional clients on bond financing and capital markets solutions.

What you will do

• Support DCM originators in winning new business and executing bond mandates.
• Prepare market updates, pricing analyses, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
• Analyze Bloomberg data, macroeconomic research, and client-specific news to identify market opportunities.
• Coordinate with relationship managers, DCM Syndicate, research, sales, capital structuring, and other ING stakeholders.
• Support product development in ESG bond structuring, hybrid capital, liability management, and private placements.
• Participate in live deals covering investment-grade corporate clients across Northern Europe.

Requirements

• Affinity with financial markets and basic knowledge of international bond markets and fixed-income instruments.
• Bachelor of Science degree required; a finance or economics background and a master’s degree are preferred.
• Basic macroeconomic knowledge and the ability to interpret balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
• Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Applicants must be EU nationals or non-EU students enrolled at an EU university and remain enrolled for the full internship.
