Workday Solutions Architect (Workday)

Salary: $150,000–$194,000 annually

What you will do

• Translate functional requirements into scalable Workday solutions across Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, advanced reports, dashboards, and security models.
• Design and maintain integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and SOAP and REST APIs.
• Apply XSLT transformations and OAuth 2.0 and SAML authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Review solution designs, enforce architecture standards, troubleshoot complex issues, and perform impact analysis for Workday releases.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Workday experience across Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience establishing architecture governance models with review processes, decision records, and standards enforcement.
• Experience designing end-to-end API-led, event-driven, or middleware-brokered integrations across at least two major enterprise platforms.
• Deep knowledge of the Workday data model, configuration dependencies, reporting, integrations, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Epic, Salesforce, ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Snowflake, or AWS.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, AWS MSK, cloud-native AWS patterns, containerization, serverless, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
• Healthcare or other regulated-enterprise experience, including familiarity with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and HITRUST CSF.
• Experience with AI-augmented architecture, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, or LLM integrations.
• Architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.
