Applications Architect III (Cerner/Epic Patient Access/Scheduling)

Location: Escondido, California, United States; onsite, day shift, 8 hours per shift.

Salary: $71.94–$108.07 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop strategic plans for innovative, scalable application architectures aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, distributed, and high-performance application solutions.
• Guide architectural decisions, technical standards, governance, and best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies with existing systems.
• Mentor technical staff and collaborate with business and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Resolve complex architecture issues while improving system efficiency, security, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior-level application architect or similar leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of application development lifecycles, software design principles, and architectural patterns.
• Experience designing scalable, distributed, and high-performance applications and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience supporting Cerner Patient Access, registration, scheduling, Experian eligibility and verification tools, and PM reporting.
• English proficiency sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position and a valid driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Epic registration and scheduling experience.
• At least 5 years of similar experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Relevant application architecture, enterprise architecture, or cloud platform certifications.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
