Azure Cloud & Data Platform Architect (Epic Reporting)

What you will do

• Design and implement Microsoft Azure infrastructure for Epic reporting and healthcare analytics environments.
• Architect SQL Server, Azure data services, storage, compute, networking, security, and monitoring platforms.
• Build highly available and resilient environments supporting Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito, and enterprise reporting.
• Define database capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, failover, and RTO/RPO strategies.
• Lead Azure migration and infrastructure deployment initiatives, including Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automation with Python.
• Provide architecture governance, technical standards, design reviews, Tier 3 support, operational runbooks, observability, and FinOps optimization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in database architecture, infrastructure architecture, cloud architecture, or enterprise data platform engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and database administration expertise.
• Experience with healthcare reporting, data warehouses, analytics, or Epic-related environments, including Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage, security, monitoring, disaster recovery, and HIPAA-compliant technology architecture.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python, Terraform, and cloud migration initiatives.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Experience supporting Epic reporting environments and large healthcare provider organizations.
