IT Architect II-IM Application Development (Healthcare)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite at the CHRISTUS System Office. Multiple shifts are available. No travel is required.

What you will do

• Design and guide the development, deployment, performance, scalability, reliability, and availability of enterprise IT systems.
• Develop and communicate architectural strategies, technical standards, procedures, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate new systems, acquisitions, technologies, and system changes for compatibility, cost, operational impact, and maintainability.
• Lead complex architecture design and implementation initiatives while collaborating with technical, business, and project stakeholders.
• Perform infrastructure design, performance modeling, capacity planning, requirements gathering, discovery, and solution development.
• Support healthcare business processes, EMR, ERP, CRM, interoperability, data integration, security, and information management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Architecture, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; four years of relevant experience may be accepted.
• Five years of increasingly responsible enterprise architecture experience in healthcare hospital systems environments is required.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare hospital systems, databases, networks, operating systems, server administration, storage and recovery, networking protocols, communications, telemedicine, and information management best practices.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, project management, business process analysis, service delivery, security models, and technical documentation.
• Experience designing database solutions in traditional and columnar database environments, including Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse systems.
• Experience with data integration using ETL techniques and frameworks, plus Big Data query tools such as Hive, Impala, and Spark SQL.
