Data Scientist I (AI)

Location: Hybrid; onsite once a week at 633 Third Avenue, New York, NY, with additional onsite flexibility as needed. Working hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday.

Salary: $113,100–$180,900 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and generative AI applications from prototypes through production.
• Automate operational, patent, compliance, commercialization, and revenue-generation workflows.
• Build LLM and RAG pipelines for clinical chart review and strategic research analysis.
• Evaluate model accuracy, performance, reliability, and real-world impact through testing and monitoring.
• Translate strategy and business challenges into scalable AI-enabled workflows and digital products.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, dashboards, reporting tools, and ad hoc data analyses.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, or API-based development.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, relational databases, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Git, modern software development practices, and coding assistant tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively, explain complex concepts, and balance technical quality with measurable business impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI systems, tool use, and orchestration frameworks such as AWS Strands or LangChain.
• Familiarity with AWS, including Bedrock.
• Experience building AI applications, AI agents, RAG solutions, or productivity automation tools.
• Healthcare experience.
