Senior Engineer, IT Security Engineering (AI)

Location: Newport Beach, California or Columbus, Ohio; office attendance required 4 days per week, with work from home on Friday. Remote work is not available.

Salary: $116,000–$162,500 base pay annually, plus potential annual cash bonuses and equity awards.

What you will do

• Implement and mature security capabilities, controls, tools, and operational processes.
• Develop and integrate automated, AI-enabled, and agentic workflows for security event enrichment, investigation, prioritization, and response.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability testing, remediation activities, and application and environment design reviews.
• Manage security technologies and provide technical ownership for solution providers and security platforms.
• Partner with IT, business, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Security leadership on risk assessments, projects, policies, and security guidance.
• Participate in incident response, daily security operations, documentation, and the ongoing development of the IT security program.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience leading security initiatives, projects, or cross-functional workstreams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training preferred.
• Strong security engineering experience across infrastructure, identity, endpoint, network, cloud, applications, data protection, vulnerability management, detection, and response.
• Experience with event logging, parsing, orchestration, alert enrichment, security testing, risk assessment, and remediation guidance.
• Working knowledge of cloud security, secure configuration management, SaaS security, workload protection, network segmentation, identity, and security requirements within the SDLC.
• Strong communication, technical writing, executive presentation, automation, and integration engineering skills.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications or training such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or TAISE.
• Experience applying generative AI, AI agents, autonomous technologies, automation, or orchestration to cybersecurity.
