Windows Engineer, Digital Infrastructure, Cloud & Foundation Services (Microsoft)

Location: Łódź, Poland; hybrid work with three days per week required in the Łódź office

Salary: PLN 210,000–330,000 gross annual base salary

What you will do

• Design end-to-end Windows server and client infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Develop architecture roadmaps for Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 identity integrations.
• Design virtualization, storage, high-availability, disaster-recovery, backup, monitoring, patching, and update strategies.
• Establish Windows deployment standards and automate provisioning with PowerShell, DSC, or Ansible.
• Lead infrastructure migrations, proof-of-concept and proof-of-architecture initiatives, and vendor evaluations.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and security architects, mentor administrators, and lead technical reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of systems engineering or administration experience focused on Microsoft technologies.
• Deep expertise in Active Directory design, including multiple domains and forests, replication, sites, and schema management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server core components, including failover clustering, file servers, and Storage Spaces Direct.
• Experience with hybrid identity, Entra ID Connect, federation, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and PowerShell automation.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, SAN/NAS storage, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Ability to design secure, compliant, scalable, and resilient Microsoft infrastructure.

Nice to have

• MCSE, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Identity and Access Administrator Associate certification.
• Experience with Azure IaaS, Azure Arc, Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Knowledge of Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, Linux interoperability, infrastructure documentation, and diagramming tools.
• Experience leading crisis troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
