Senior Big Data Software Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integrations and transformation solutions for an enterprise data platform.
• Onboard data sources such as Snowflake and Salesforce and create low-level integration designs.
• Build and support production-ready pipelines and workflows using GCP services, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
• Optimize data processing systems for performance, scalability, reliability, data quality, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to data mesh adoption, platform modernization, automation, technical evaluations, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer.
• 2+ years of practical experience with GCP, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
• Proficiency in Python or Java, strong SQL skills, and experience building data pipelines.
• Experience with Liquibase or Flyway, data integration, databases, data connectivity, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Exposure to Snowflake and familiarity with GitLab CI, Terraform, and version control systems.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modern data architectures such as Data Lakehouse and Data Mesh.
• Experience with AI-driven approaches for data governance and configuration management.
