Senior RF Engineer mmW Innovation (f/m/d)

hirify.global develops semiconductor technologies and supports automotive radar, robotics, connectivity, and high-frequency innovation projects through its Terahertz Lab in Hamburg.

What you will do

• Contribute to RF product development and innovation projects through concept development, feasibility studies, prototyping, simulation, and validation.
• Design and implement automated RF and communications test solutions in software-controlled environments.
• Develop test specifications, plans, and instructions; coordinate validation activities and improve laboratory processes and automation.
• Analyze measurement and simulation data, troubleshoot software, hardware, and equipment issues, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Perform system-level RF and full-wave electromagnetic simulations, characterize RF devices, and build mmWave and sub-THz demonstrators.
• Collaborate with suppliers, universities, and international partners; mentor working students and maintain ISO9001/IATF16949-compliant documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
• At least 3 years of RF engineering experience with strong knowledge of RF, communications, and/or radar measurement techniques.
• Experience with software and hardware debugging, RF/mmWave system-level simulations, and full-wave electromagnetic simulation.
• Experience with Keysight SystemVue, HFSS, Python, and MATLAB; basic knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and project management skills with a structured and quality-oriented work style.
• Fluent German and English, spoken and written, are required. International travel of approximately 2–8 weeks per year is expected.
