Product/Visual Designer - 12 Month FTC (Fintech)

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of time at an office site

Salary: £61,344–£68,160 per year

What you will do

• Design end-to-end product experiences from discovery and problem framing through interaction design and delivery.
• Shape customer journeys for complex domains involving roles, permissions, and business operations.
• Translate business processes and rules into structured user flows, information architectures, and interaction patterns.
• Create low- to high-fidelity designs and prototypes ready for build, while applying and evolving design systems.
• Use research, insight, data, and AI-assisted workflows to explore and refine solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and research to deliver accessible, inclusive, reliable experiences.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in visual design and end-to-end product experience design.
• Strong visual design and UX craft, including interaction design, storytelling, and customer-focused interface design.
• Experience working across the full design lifecycle using research, data, and iteration.
• Ability to translate ambiguity and complex domains into clear journeys, information architectures, and interaction models.
• Understanding of web standards, accessibility, inclusive design, and systems thinking.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and maintain a high standard of design quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in business or commercial banking, financial services, or fintech.
• Experience contributing to scalable design systems and facilitating discovery or alignment workshops.
• Experience working across multiple levels of abstraction, from system thinking to detailed interaction design.
• Experience mentoring or supporting others in systems thinking, interaction design, or design quality.
