Database Developer Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid model with 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize SQL and NoSQL queries across MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Collaborate with software developers across multiple programming languages and platforms to understand database requirements.
• Analyze database systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for query tuning, problem resolution, and system design.
• Monitor database-management trends and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a database developer, database administrator, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and query languages.
• Experience with MariaDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
• Knowledge of Python and .NET, plus the ability to guide software engineers on database-performance optimization.
• Legal authorization to work in Malaysia is required; resumes must be submitted in English.
