Rigging & Packaging Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Linkou, Taiwan; regular shopfloor engagement is required

What you will do

• Review and optimize packaging specifications for inbound, outbound, and transportation requirements.
• Identify packaging risks and failure modes involving material damage, contamination, handling constraints, and transportation.
• Lead packaging trials, validations, change implementation, and performance measurement.
• Analyze unpacking, packing, and logistics processes to identify bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, cycle time, and sustainability.
• Provide hands-on shopfloor support, investigate disturbances, implement corrective actions, and standardize rigging and packaging operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or industrial engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, packaging, material handling, or manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience in a warehouse, factory, cleanroom, or comparable shopfloor environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to implement process changes.
• Experience analyzing operational processes and leading process improvement initiatives.
• Regular on-site collaboration with operational teams is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3PL management.
• Experience with logistics automation, packaging or material-handling automation, AGV/AMR, or related projects.
• Experience using AI tools for data analysis, process improvement, documentation, or knowledge management.
