TL;DR
Software Engineer (AI) (TypeScript/Python/Rust): Building Hermes Agent, Nous Portal, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling with an accent on AI products, model serving, and generalist engineering. Focus on designing production APIs, scaling infrastructure, integrating LLM applications, and solving high-leverage problems across frontend, backend, systems, and ML tooling.

builds Hermes Agent, Nous Portal, and infrastructure supporting AI research, products, and model serving.
What you will do
- Build product surfaces for Hermes Agent and Nous Portal across web, desktop, and mobile.
- Develop backend services and APIs that support real-world usage.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure for products and model serving.
- Create developer and research tooling that improves engineering and research workflows.
- Take ownership of high-leverage technical problems across the product and infrastructure stack.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Depth in at least one area such as frontend, backend, infrastructure, systems, or ML tooling, with the ability to work across disciplines.
- Professional fluency in TypeScript and Python, with comfort using Rust when appropriate.
- Strong ownership, clear communication, and a low-ego approach to collaboration and code review.
- Heavy use of AI-assisted development in personal workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI products, LLM applications, agents, or tool-calling workflows.
- Open-source contributions or notable side projects.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, OpenAI-compatible APIs, model routing, or inference.
