Production Estimator (Commercial Construction)

Location: Remote from the Philippines, with core hours aligned to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

Australian construction and site establishment business delivering structural, site setup, and temporary works for infrastructure and commercial developments.

What you will do

• Complete quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings using Cubit Estimating Software, Bluebeam, and related tools.
• Apply labour schedules of rates and supplier pricing to create detailed cost build-ups, trade breakdowns, inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Request, assess, and consolidate quotations from Australian suppliers and subcontractors, including checks of lead times, logistics, access, craneage, and onboarding requirements.
• Compile tender submissions, bid forms, pricing schedules, clarifications, risk notes, programme assumptions, and compliance responses.
• Track tender outcomes, manage post-submission clarifications, and prepare handover documentation for awarded projects.
• Attend daily and weekly estimating meetings, provide written progress updates, and escalate blockers and deadline risks.

Requirements

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Building and Construction, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of dedicated estimating experience, preferably pricing Australian commercial construction projects.
• Knowledge of Australian construction standards, measurement conventions, and tender documentation.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, cost build-ups, supplier quotations, and commercial tender submissions.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the Philippines; Australian work rights, visa sponsorship, and relocation are not provided.
• Availability during Australian business hours aligned to AEST and ability to work remotely with structured written communication.

Nice to have

• Exposure to live construction sites or commercial construction environments.
• Previous remote experience with an Australian or overseas employer or distributed team.
• Experience with commercial projects involving modular buildings, site establishment, carpentry, civil works, metalwork, FF&E, or temporary works.
