Vice President, Media Relations, Global (Digital Infrastructure)

Location: Remote - United States; travel expected up to 25% and may increase over time.

Salary: $270,000–$290,000 base per year plus bonus; range based on Colorado market data and may vary by location.

What you will do

• Develop and execute hirify.global’s first proactive global media relations strategy aligned with growth, reputation, public affairs, and business objectives.
• Build a scalable global media relations function, including its operating model, governance, agency relationships, and team structure.
• Develop relationships with business, technology, infrastructure, sustainability, policy, financial, trade, and local media.
• Shape narratives about data centers, AI infrastructure, sustainability, energy innovation, economic development, workforce development, and public policy.
• Lead crisis communications, reputation management, misinformation monitoring, and coordinated issue response with Legal, Public Policy, Government Affairs, Sustainability, and Operations.
• Advise executives, secure high-value media opportunities, provide media training, and build a global team expected to grow to approximately four professionals within 18 months.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Political Science, Marketing, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in media relations, corporate communications, public affairs, or reputation management.
• At least 7 years of experience leading teams and complex communications programs.
• Proven success building proactive media relations programs in large, global organizations and influencing public narratives on high-profile issues.
• Strong media relations, storytelling, executive communications, strategic planning, crisis communications, reputation management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working across global markets and matrixed organizations; knowledge of media monitoring and analytics platforms and AP Style is strongly desired.

• Established relationships with national business, trade, technology, and policy journalists.
• Experience in complex, highly visible, highly regulated, politically sensitive, or scrutinized industries.
• Experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, technology, energy, telecommunications, industrial, real estate, or related sectors.
