Warehouse Team Lead 1

Location: Romeoville, Illinois, United States; onsite warehouse position

Salary: $24.00–$28.50 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.

What you will do

• Assist the supervisor in managing a core warehouse department such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, bulk, or value-added services.
• Lead and support teams of approximately 6–15 associates, delegate work, and drive performance against production targets and KPIs.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings, lead safety activities, support onboarding, and provide training and real-time feedback.
• Control workflow, remove operational roadblocks, monitor productivity dashboards, and resolve issues before escalation.
• Oversee inbound and outbound operations, including unloading, processing, picking, packaging, trailer loading, and Dock to Stock SLA performance.
• Perform inventory and quality checks, maintain department cleanliness, and respond to email and verbal questions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience is preferred, with experience in more than one warehouse department required.
• Comfort repeatedly lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering products weighing over 150 pounds unassisted or with a team lift.
• PIV certification is required for relevant roles, and the ability or willingness to train on Powered Industrial Truck Operations is required.
• Leadership, motivational, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills with a firm, fair, and consistent management style.
• Working knowledge of a WMS system; experience creating and updating trouble tickets is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED and previous warehouse experience are preferred.
