Lab Sanitation Technician

Location: Louisville, KY, United States; onsite laboratory role

Starting hourly rate: $18.25 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare raw materials, clean equipment, and support the pharmacy compounding process under the guidance of the Operations Area Manager.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize laboratory tools and equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized countertops, sinks, work areas, and waste-disposal processes.
• Monitor inventory, restock consumables, and maintain records for supplies and broken equipment.
• Follow SOPs, USP <795> and <795> standards, hazardous-material handling procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with team members while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain pharmacy technician licensure, if applicable.
• Willingness to undergo respirator fit testing; facial hair may interfere with the required respirator seal.
• Ability to work with delicate, high-value equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong visual acuity, including color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions for prolonged periods.
• Ability to wear required PPE for extended durations and use strong hand dexterity to handle tools, objects, and controls.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in a compounding laboratory or kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Troubleshooting, communication, and solution-oriented collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
