Transportation Specialist (Logistics)

Location: Aberdeen, Maryland warehouse

Salary: $23.50–$25.00 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.

What you will do

• Review and publish daily delivery routes, resolve address, cube, geocode, and capacity issues, and assign drivers and tablets.
• Oversee warehouse loadout, answer driver questions, and manage rescheduled delivery stops.
• Reconcile inbound and outbound exceptions, including damage, short shipments, mis-shipments, and overweight cartons.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, review cycle counts, and process freight returned after missed or refused deliveries.
• Coordinate reverse logistics schedules for returns, liquidation, donations, and disposal while maintaining carrier relationships.
• Prepare delivery paperwork, distribute end-of-shift reports, and coordinate with routing, customer service, and partner teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role; logistics or transportation experience is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer focus, multitasking, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn new systems; experience with Descartes or inventory and order-processing software is advantageous.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work 8+ hours in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Ability to frequently lift and move merchandise weighing 75+ pounds without assistance.
• A high school diploma or GED, previous warehouse experience, and a BA/BS are preferred.
