Interior Design Advisor (Retail)

Location: Houston, Texas; physical retail in-store. The role also includes in-home design visits and requires availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Salary: $25.50–$27.50 per hour, plus quarterly sales bonuses and uncapped commission opportunities.

What you will do

• Deliver a high-quality luxury customer experience for trade and consumer clients.
• Manage a portfolio of design clients, build long-term relationships, and prospect new customers.
• Support large-scale luxury projects, trade projects, and custom product development.
• Conduct virtual, in-home, and in-store design appointments, including product curation, design deliverables, and follow-up.
• Advise customers on fabrics, finishes, performance, texture, durability, and market trends.
• Use sales analytics, CRM/POS tools, and design software to support store profitability and meet sales and satisfaction KPIs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of design experience in a design firm or high-end furniture retailer.
• A professional digital design portfolio is required for application.
• Experience managing large-scale projects for luxury B2C and trade customers.
• Strong organization, communication, self-motivation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with CRM, POS, or design tools such as Salesforce, DesignFiles, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for in-home design visits. Ability to stand, walk, handle materials, and lift or move up to 50 pounds is also required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Perigold supplier brands, materials, construction, and custom programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in art, architecture, or interior design.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
