Transportation Specialist (Logistics)

Location: McDonough, Georgia, United States; onsite warehouse role

Salary: $21.50–$23.00 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and a peak season bonus of up to $1,200.

What you will do

• Review and correct daily route publishing, assign drivers and tablets, and oversee loadout and rescheduled stops.
• Reconcile inbound and outbound freight exceptions, including damages, short shipments, mis-shipments, and overweight cartons.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, review cycle count results, and process freight returned after missed or refused deliveries.
• Coordinate reverse logistics schedules for returns, liquidation, donations, and disposal while maintaining carrier relationships.
• Prepare delivery paperwork, distribute end-of-shift reports, and coordinate with routing, customer service, and partner teams.
• Support warehouse activities such as loading, unloading, deluxing, and picking when staffing requires it.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience; logistics or transportation experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer focus, organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and learning new technologies; experience with Descartes or inventory/order processing systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work onsite for 8 or more hours per shift in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and frequently move merchandise weighing 75 or more pounds without assistance.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferable; a BA/BS and previous warehouse experience are preferred.
