Process Planner (Avionics)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules for avionics manufacturing.
• Translate vehicle and program demand into production requirements for PCBAs, wire harnesses, electrical assemblies, and avionics testing.
• Identify material, labor, equipment, and capacity constraints affecting production schedules.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, Engineering, and Quality to resolve shortages and production blockers.
• Prioritize hardware through shared manufacturing and test resources while tracking schedule performance, risks, and recovery plans.
• Improve scheduling tools, reporting, and production processes through automation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or operations, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
• Access to export-controlled information may require eligibility for applicable U.S. Government authorization, security clearance, or citizenship requirements if designated for the position.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-mix manufacturing.
• Familiarity with PCBA, wire harness, electrical integration, or electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools.
• Experience with capacity planning, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
