Software Engineer, Production Platform (Python)

Salary: $150,000–$300,000 per year base salary, with potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the production platform that moves code, models, and data from development into live trading.
• Build and maintain build, release, deployment, dependency-resolution, and promotion tooling.
• Extend deployment orchestration and scheduling infrastructure across regions.
• Build observability into deployments and production services.
• Automate manual operational processes with Research and Trading Operations.
• Improve alerting, failure handling, fallback, recovery, and overall production reliability.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience; a range of experience levels may be considered.
• Strong Python skills, familiarity with Java and C++, and experience building production-grade systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, deployment pipelines, or internal developer platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, configuration management, workload orchestration such as Nomad or Kubernetes, and production debugging.
• Comfort operating in production environments where uptime, latency, and correctness are critical.

Nice to have

• Exposure to trading systems, market data, or production model lifecycle management.
• Experience automating operational toil and setting engineering standards for maintainable, tested, and documented systems.
