Staff Software Engineer (Productivity, Fintech)

Salary: $180,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity and bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead the planning, architecture, and delivery of engineering productivity platforms and technical roadmaps.
• Design scalable infrastructure services, including messaging platforms, observability systems, workflow automation, and microservice-based components.
• Define and deliver AI-powered developer productivity solutions such as AI-assisted code review, automated test generation, build optimization, and root-cause analysis.
• Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce build times and improve deployment frequency and reliability.
• Set architectural standards, review RFCs, mentor engineers, and enforce quality and change-management practices.
• Partner with engineering teams, SREs, and stakeholders to measure and improve developer experience using productivity metrics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership, architecture, mentoring, and large-scale platform or infrastructure work.
• Strong backend programming skills in one or more of Python, Java, Go, Kotlin, Rust, or Node.js.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, or platform infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Aliyun and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong system design experience with distributed, high-concurrency, high-load, and highly available systems.
• Ability to work from Seattle, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML tools, LLM integrations, or AI-powered development tools.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK, Kafka, data streaming, container orchestration, or microservices.
• Background in platform engineering or developer experience, preferably in technology or fintech.
• Experience with DORA metrics, developer NPS, Bazel, Gradle, or internal developer portals.
