Mechanical Design Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Salary: $25–$47.50 per hour

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering activities for new product development.
• Provide factory support for existing products.
• Work with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
• Generate and process engineering change orders.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Exposure to CAD or analysis tools and experience with mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures, or mechanisms.
• Ability to apply structural mechanics principles to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities.
• Familiarity with finite element methods, fatigue, and damage tolerance principles.
• Many positions may require a security clearance, which can only be granted to U.S. citizens.
