Senior Software Engineer (C++/Embedded Linux)

Location: San Jose, United States; hybrid working with office attendance generally required Monday through Thursday and up to one day of telecommuting per week.

Salary: $306,000–$382,000 annual salary for California

What you will do

• Develop core features for the hirify.global OS application framework.
• Architect and implement scalable services supporting hirify.global applications.
• Collaborate with Product Development, UI Design, Platform Services, and Release Management.
• Maintain and test software and applications to ensure reliable operation.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues across the hirify.global platform.
• Analyze user needs, design software solutions, and recommend upgrades for existing customer programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Professional experience with C++ and embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of Linux tools, frameworks, and libraries.
• Understanding of API design considerations and trade-offs.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience writing functional and integration tests and applying object-oriented software design.
