Director, Technology Operations (Fraud Risk)

What you will do

• Lead identification and monitoring of emerging fraud risks using transaction activity, fraud signals, and decision outcomes.
• Own fraud monitoring capabilities, tools, governance, performance metrics, thresholds, escalation protocols, and operational readiness.
• Translate fraud trends and analytical insights into mitigation strategies, rules, controls, and long-term technology improvements.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Treasury, Compliance, Investigations, Ecommerce, Marketplace, and other business teams.
• Measure and report fraud exposure, trends, and performance while creating feedback loops for continuous prevention improvements.
• Lead and develop a high-performing analytical and operational team.

Requirements

• Significant experience in fraud analytics, transaction monitoring, risk decisioning, fraud technology, operations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical expertise identifying patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks across complex datasets.
• Experience owning fraud monitoring or decisioning capabilities and improving tools and platforms with technology teams.
• Knowledge of rules, models, signals, risk scoring, SQL, Python, and visualization tools.
• Experience establishing governance, performance metrics, monitoring standards, and escalation processes.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant project, program, or operations experience, or 8 years of relevant experience; 3 years of supervisory experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical, business, finance, management, or project/program management field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
