Finance Analyst (Music Entertainment)

Location: Liberty Village, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; at least four days per week onsite

Salary: CAD 56,000–60,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare third-party label reporting, statements, supporting schedules, and partner reports in line with contractual agreements.
• Monitor reporting and filing deadlines and support compliance with agreement requirements.
• Prepare journal entries, recurring billing and allocation schedules, and month-end close activities.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items.
• Produce sales, product mix, financial, and ad hoc reports for business planning and Finance leadership.
• Prepare indirect tax filings, corporate tax schedules, statutory reports, and audit documentation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, or financial analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large volumes of financial data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when working independently.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an asset.

Nice to have

• CPA designation, active progress toward CPA, or another internationally recognized accounting designation such as ACCA, ACA, CA, CMA, or equivalent.
• Experience with joint ventures, distribution arrangements, or royalty accounting.
• Experience in the media, music, entertainment, or content distribution industry.
