Financial Consulting Senior Associate - Business Valuation

Location: Toronto, Canada; ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed.

Compensation range: CAD 62,000–107,500 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Perform business valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, transactions, reorganizations, and strategic planning.
• Value business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, other securities, partnership interests, and private debt instruments.
• Support assurance and tax clients with valuation needs.
• Prepare financial models, analyze financial statements and other financial data, and write technical reports.
• Manage multiple valuation and financial advisory engagements and collaborate with client management and colleagues.
• Support the practice leader with business development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of business valuation experience, preferably with a global or national firm.
• Completed or in progress professional designation such as Chartered Business Valuator or Chartered Financial Analyst.
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, regulations, valuation methodologies, financial analysis, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, financial modeling, technical writing, communication, and project management.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, manage staff, and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with valuations for tax reporting, financial reporting, and audit support.
• CBV or CFA credential, substantial progress toward certification, or an MBA.
• Demonstrated industry knowledge, business acumen, and experience developing client relationships.
